my favorite writing resources (03/15/26)
hello hello this is my first post ! i thought i'd share some websites i often use for my writing. am i qualified? i mean, i've been writing since i was like, four, so make up your own mind.
this website talks about a lot of different kinds of drugs, specifically ones of the harmful variety. alcohol too. i'm a teenager and have no interest in substances, so this has been helpful for me.
alcohol and drug foundation - drug wheel
information on a lot of medical conditions. i mean, it's one of the best hospitals in the US, maybe worldwide. i'd reccomend checking out websites more specialized to whatever disorder you're researching as well!
cleveland clinic
lots of historical clothing and general information on fashion throughout history. i've also used this as a secondary source on one or two papers for history class.
fashion history timelineawesome resource for anything to do with words. find a similar word, the opposite of it, the meaning, rhyming words, whatever. i think my mom uses this and she's a professional editor if that's something you care about.
wordhippo
most importantly, i ask my friends and family sometimes if im stuck, even if its ominous as hell. i have came into my mom's office at 1am before asking about stab wounds, but y'know what, she signed up for this when she gave me google docs access as a young child. also, if i know someone with a medical condition i'm writing that i myself don't have, i ask them about it if they're comfortable talking about it :)
i hope this helps you out! don't expect all my posts to be this structured lol.
